Awesomw stay to recharge with small kids after long flight from Europe

Awesome view, great staff in the restaurant and reliable & timely pick up from the airport! Would stay here again after arrival or before departure. Kids loved the nice playground. The breakfast was one of the best in Costa Rica.

Our vila was probably the only one facing the rest of vilas and not having a direct view but this is only minority detail, the patio was still great.

Perfect spot to use when returning to / leaving SJO.

Arrived early and was able to check in and access the room. Cheerful staff and great service. Very comfy beds and our room had the most amazing view over the valley to San Jose. Perfect place to stop either before returning to or leaving from SJO. Nice trail following the coffee plantations. Well maintained garden. Pool, perfectly cool and refreshing as the weather was hot. Fitted our needs perfectly.

Did notice a few planes turning as they left SJO but they were few and far between.

Good

We spent 2 nights at the hotel after a long journey to Costa Rica. It is very convenient as it is close to the San Jose international airport and the hotel offers free transfers from the airport. As it is up in the hills it has a lovely view over the city and we watched the fireworks on New Years eve from the hotel garden. The a la carte breakfast is lovely and we also had good steaks on New Years eve.

The big negative was the fact that the King Deluxe room we stayed in had a very bad strong smell of mold and as the hotel was fully booked they could not offer us another room. Also, the King Deluxe Rooms on the ground floor have a window facing the swimming pool area where people sit and chat until late evening so can be quite noisy.

Perfect rest stop

The hotel was really lovely. Very chic style throughout and in the rooms. The bed was big and the room spacious. The staff were friendly and food was good. Breakfast was delicious and the free transfer to and from the airport was excellent particularly as Ubers could be unreliable. The view of San José at night is stunning and a real attraction of this property (some of the balcony rooms / villas have a view over this).

Our only issue with the room was the shower had no power, and it could be a little noisy in the reception area although this wasn’t too bad. The hotel tours were very overpriced, for example we did the coffee tour and had lunch included by getting Ubers there and back for half the price they had suggested. The location is not ideal for walking to restaurants / shops as the roads are busy with little to no pavement in places, however this was an ideal place to stop off after a long flight before travelling on.

Very Good

5 stars for the location of the hotel and the beautiful view from the garden. We had a good breakfast and the staff was nice.

Minus one star for the room. Ours had carpet, I don't understand how there can be carpet in a tropical humid climate! Overall, though, it's a decent hotel for a short stay in san jose.

Overall a fantastic place to stay after flying in from San Jose. Would definitely stay here again!

The view on the back lawn was absolutely breathtaking, serene and the epitome of vacation. Also the breakfast was perfect and the staff was very kind and accommodating without exception.

Walking in the local area was a little tricky for non locals. Felt a tiny bit uninviting.

Beautiful and welcoming

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Very nice decor with good attention to detail. The view of the city was incredible to see with an evening drink. Breakfast was great and had a good selection. Free shuttle to the airport was also a great addition. Staff were very responsive to our questions and helped organize things

No complaints. We didn’t have a car so it isn’t the easiest place to get to, but we knew that when booking. Ubers were relatively easy to get.

Peaceful stay away from the city with lovely grounds

Lovely hotel in the hills above San Jose- perfect if you aren't keen on heading into the city before/after a flight. We liked the hotel decor and lovely surroundings. We also highly recommend the pizza restaurant across the road (La Zompopa) for very good value pizza with a friendly service. Nice swimming pool and grounds for reading/chilling out before our flight.

We weren't allowed a late check-out, despite the hotel being quiet, which was a bit disappointing given the price we paid for one night.

Ask for a room away from the front desk. The tour groups leaving at 6 am are NOISY and will wake you up. The hallways and doors do nothing to decrease sound from the lobby.

Very Good

Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds and a lovely garden with some really special views. Staff was very helpful and nice and helped us book a tour up the POAS vulcano. Also really enjoyed the cocktails from their bar!

Food for dinner was ok.. I am a vegetarian and had limited options.
